Why HPYHR exists

It started as a spreadsheet for my hometown.

In 2024, I realized there was no easy way to find happy hours and daily specials in my hometown, so I made a spreadsheet. After I shared it with a few friends, they convinced me it should become a website, and that small project slowly turned into HPYHR.

What I am trying to build

A simpler way to find local specials and recurring events.

The goal is simple: help people find a good special close to home or while travelling, without making them dig through a dozen random pages first.

Made for real plans

HPYHR is meant to help you decide where to go tonight, not just scroll forever. I focus on recurring dine-in deals and event nights people can actually plan around.

Built from venue pages

I try to use the venue's own website and official pages, then link back so you can double-check the details before you head out.

Still a passion project

I care a lot about getting things right, but this is still a small independent project. If something looks off, please send a note so I can fix it.

A quick heads-up

Use HPYHR as a helpful starting point, then check the venue link.

What you will usually find

  • Happy hours, daily specials, wing nights, late-night deals, and recurring event nights.
  • Links back to the venue source so you can check details yourself.
  • City and category pages designed to help you compare options quickly.

What you might not see

  • Third-party roundup content, coupon pages, or random reposted specials.
  • Delivery-only or takeout-only offers that do not really fit the spirit of going out.
  • Every tiny menu detail when a simpler summary is more useful on the page.

Before you go

  • Pages and specials can change, and mistakes can happen.
  • Please double-check the venue link before heading out.
  • If you spot something wrong, the contact page is the best way to tell me.
